It is based on Glock’s earlier Glock 17 model and adds the features of the Gen4 series, including an enlarged magazine release and reversible magazine catch (as seen from left- or right-handed shooters), ambidextrous slide stop lever, finger grooves on the front strap as well as other grip surfaces, better checking of internal parts with close attention to surface finish for smoother operation, an improved barrel locking block that can be quickly field stripped without pulling the trigger by pressing down on two tabs simultaneously with one hand.
